We Do Things Differently Here
The Grove has been counted among the best restaurants in Ocean City for over four decades, offering an experience that transcends the ordinary. Unlike most restaurants, we do NOT have a grill or fryer. We also do not use pre-prepared dishes, sauces, and dressings. We are also not restricted by a set menu. Every element of your dinner is prepared fresh, in-house, from scratch. Each day, our chefs choose inspired, locally sourced ingredients and cook with only a stove & two ovens.

Private Parties/Special Events/Large Parties of 9 or more: We love hosting larger parties and special events.
Advanced Reservations: Secure your table now for your special event or vacation week. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. Reserve your table now for any time during the 2025 season with a deposit. Deposits start at $50 and vary by party size. Advanced reservations are typically confirmed within 48 hours of your call.
Traditional Reservation Requests: Requests are accepted up to two weeks before your requested date and available tables are reserved/confirmed 1 week before the requested date. Deposit required for parties of 5 or more.
Same Day Reservation Request: To see if we have any same-day seating available, please text us at (410)713-2596 with the number of people in your party and your name.

Dinning at The Grove FAQ’s
- We do things differently here- Our locally sourced menu changes daily to maximize freshness and variety. It is a spoken menu and typically includes fish, seafood, beef, pork, lamb, and, of course, our famous smoked fish & roasted duck and other fish & seafood items smoked fresh daily on-site in our smokehouse.
- Prices range from $12-$18 for Appetizers / $38 - $56 Entrees / $14 Desserts . While we take credit card deposits for advanced reservations , we are still cash only in house and we do have an ATM in the vestibule for your conveinece.

- What happens after you leave your request on our reservation line? Our unique ten-table dining cottage is carefully planned & scheduled for each night’s reservations. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. Requests for advanced reservations & special events are responded to/confirmed within 48 hours. Requests for traditional reservations can be left up to two weeks in advance. You will receive a call one week before your requested date if we have a table available. Generally, if we cannot accommodate your request, you will receive a courtesy call to see if another date will work for you; however, in peak season, that is not always possible due to the abundance of requests that we receive. Please note that by leaving a reservation request, you are permitting us to send you text/SMS messages regarding your reservation.
- Your table reservation is for two hours. Please be mindful of those who have the table reserved for later seating.
- Arrive on time for your reservation. We can only hold your table for five-minutes after your reservation time due to the nature of how our spoken menu is delivered to the dining room for each seating. Ocean City traffic can be unpredictable (especially on the weekends :-) Check your local maps app for traffic conditions and plan to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early. Once you’re here, you’re on Grove time, relax and enjoy your evening!
